What Our Customers Say...

Description

Early Edition, Very Scarce

The second edition of this very scarce work, disbound but internally firmly bound and intact.

After the end of the Napoleonic Wars, the Whigs strengthened their position in Parliament through the increased political participation of the middle classes. At this time, the Whigs rejected the Conservative Party's preference for governmental authority and social discipline, and instead supported reforms, which made them a popular choice for voters.

This anonymously written political pamphlet, addressing the inhabitants of Edinburgh, criticises the Whig leaders and their tactical approach used to gain votes.

Condition

Disbound but internally firmly bound and intact. Externally generally smart, with remnants of the backstrip to the spine and faint marks first page and last page. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.
