The first edition.

Volume II only of a total of III volumes.

A detailed history of Asia, from its earliest times up to the early nineteenth century. This volume looks primarily at India.

Illustrated with a folding map to the frontispiece.

Half-title is present.

Bookplate of George Tyrrell to the front paste down. 

Collated, complete.

Condition

In a half morocco binding with marbled paper to the boards. Externally, generally smart, a little rubbed, heavier to the leather. Minor bumping to the extremities. Spine is a little faded. Hinges are starting a little but remain firm. Bookplate to the front paste down. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright with scattered spots to the first and last few pages. Small closed tear to the folding map.
