What Our Customers Say...

Description

Early Edition, Folding Plates, Very Scarce

An early edition of this very scarce work, disbound but internally firmly bound and intact.

In this very scarce pamphlet, Richard Heathfield proposes a plan for the liquidation of public debt in the United Kingdom.

From 1815 until 1821, the government sought to move from a wartime economy to peacetime economy. This was a struggle, due to the enormous government debts accumulated over the course of the Napoleonic Wars. This pamphlet gives an insight into the significant financial development of Britain in the early nineteenth century.

Complete with the folding plate.

Condition

Disbound but internally firmly bound and intact. Externally, generally smart, with the odd spot to the first page and last page, and remnants of the backstrip to the spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are generally bright with the odd spot.
