    Description

    An Important Work, Leather Binding

    A charming antique French Bible, with gilt detail to the spine and edges.

    Containing the armorial bookplate of John Lewis of Llanfihangel.

    With a loosely inserted antique piece of writing containing various Biblical verses in English.

    In the French language.

    Condition

    In a full calf binding. Externally a trifle rubbed, in particular to the tail of the spine and the joints, with the front joint cracked from the bottom. Ownership bookplate to the front pastedown. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean with just the odd spot.
