Description

An Important Work, Scarce

William Daniell (1769-1837) was an English landscape artist, particularly renowned for his work with aquatint. This work was his magnum opus, combining a commentary of the coast and places of interest alongside his art works. It was published in eight volumes between 1814-1825, and had three-hundred and eight plates. It describes his travels in the summer of 1818, beginning at Land's End.

This comprises volumes III and IV of the work.

Sadly lacking the illustrated plates.

A scarce work, with the pages all in excellent condition.

Condition

Disbound. Pages are loose, and bright and clean bar the odd spot.
