What Our Customers Say...

Description

Leather Binding

With engraved frontispiece and additional title page. Madame de Genlis was and is best known for her children's works. In Britain, many readers who were sceptical of French philosophy in general, welcomed her books because they presented many of Rousseau's methods while at the same time attacking his principles. Complete in two volumes.

Condition

Rebound in half-calf bindings with marbled boards. Externally, smart, with only some slight rubbing. Internally, firmly bound. Bookplate to front pastedown. Pages are bright, and generally clean, though with some occasional spotting.
