Seventh and tenth editions. A recommendation for the religion of Christianity, told in sermons, a charge and a series of letters. Written by Richard Watson (1737–1816), an Anglican bishop and academic, who served as the Bishop of Llandaff from 1782 to 1816. He also wrote a number of notable political pamphlets. Previously owned by Sir Robert Johnson Eden Bart.
Condition
In the original brown binding. Externally, smart with light shelf wear to the extremities. The odd mark to the board and some chipping to the head and tail of the spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean with light scattered spotting to the extremities.
