First Edition, Illustrated, Rebound

Including biographical sketches of 'eminent and distinguished natives' of Bristol, with the life of Brennus, of Bibert, Sebastian Cabot and Ann Yearsley relayed, among numerous others. 

Illustrated with twelve engraved plates; three to volume I, and nine to volume II. Collated, complete.

Volume I is the work of John Corry, volume II the work of Rev. John Evans.

Retaining the original half titles.

Two pages of advertisements to rear of volume II.

Condition

Rebound in quarter cloth with paper covered boards, and endpapers renewed. Small bump to tail of volume I back strip, otherwise externally excellent. Minor marks to boards. Internally, firmly bound. Pages significantly age toned due to paper type, with scattered spotting throughout.
