First Edition, Original Binding

A travelogue, describing the author's travels from Ramsgate to Bruges, before visiting Brussels and the battlefield of Waterloo and finally Paris. Scott describes his opinions and impressions of the country and its political state.

This work was written as a sequel to 'A Visit to Paris in 1814'.

John Scott was editor of the Champion, a London-based weekly journal.

A first edition, with two later impressions released the same year.

Complete with sixteen pages of publisher's advertisements bound to the rear.

Condition

In paper covered boards, with the original spine repaired. Externally generally smart, with bumping to the extremities resulting in slight loss to the paper. Ownership inscription to the front endpaper. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are uncut and bright and clean with just the odd spot.
