An excellent translation of the medical works of pioneering English physician Thomas Sydenham, whose work 'Observationes Medicae' (1676) became a standard textbook for two centuries, so that he became known as 'The English Hippocrates'.

Condition

In a half morocco binding, with cloth covered boards. Tide marks to board heads, and to fore edge of front board, with boards lacking their morocco corners. Gilt detailing to back strip. Internally, firmly bound. Pages lightly age toned, but clean.
