A very scarce newspaper for Liverpool, being Volume V, No. 243, for Friday February 23rd, 1816.

'Liverpool Mercury' was founded in 1811, and ran until 1904.

With notices and adverts, and articles and poems, and more local, national, and global news, and adverts for local events, such as balls and concerts. Also including notices for ships setting off to travel around the world. 

This issue shows an interesting insight into life in Liverpool during the Regency era. 

Intended for binding.

Condition

Unbound as issued. Very light edge wear, with small chips to the backstrip. Light age-toning and handling marks to the leaves. Neat pencil to page 271.
