His flamboyant lifestyle, can be summed up by the infamous phrase used by one of his ex-lovers, who stated that Byron was 'mad, bad and dangerous to know.'
Condition
In a half-morocco binding. Externally, sound, though with some marks and slight rubbing. Front hinge strained, with endpapers and title page of The Giaour missing. Internally, firmly bound. Previous owner's ink stamps to half-title. Pages are bright, though with some light scattered foxing throughout.
