The very scarce first edition.

Extracted from in Volume 6, Number 11, of 'The Pamphleteer'. 

An interesting treatise by Arthur Young, a concise monograph in which he looks into the economic state of Europe from 1790 to 1815. With a focus on the rapid increase of prices seen in Europe during the fraught political decades, which saw the French Revolution, and Napoleonic Wars.

Young was an agriculturist who is best known today for his 'Travels in France', which recount his first hand account of the Revolution.

Condition

Rebound in paper covered boards. Externally, smart. Light discolouration and a few marks to the boards and spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean, with just a few scattered spots.
