A fascinating volume, featuring accounts dated from 1815-1829.
To the start of the work are twenty pages of accounts from the years 1815 to 1829, with two leaves of accounts to the rear, dated 1815.
The sale price of such items as mahogany tables, counterpanes, 'large matts', lace, bamboo chairs, wool, an Encyclopaedia Brittanica, Chambaud's 'French Grammar Dictionary', Goldsmith's 'Roman History' and 'Voyage to Siam'.
These accounts have been compiled by Edinburgh merchant and trader Lamb & Son, with a price and date for each transaction recorded.
The majority of accounts are dated 1815-1816, with only one leaf dated 1829.
With 228 bright blank leaves.
Condition
In paper covered boards. Bumping to back strip head and tail and board perimeters. Significant losses of paper to rear board, with small losses to front board. Internally, firmly bound. Pages clean and bright. Twenty leaves with handwritten contents to the start of the work, and two to the rear, with the remaining exceptionally clean and bright.
