Description

Original Binding, Very Scarce

A very scarce work.

An entertaining collection of anecdotes, bon mots, epitaphs, and other humorous pieces from Georgian England, a satirical work.

Illustrated with a frontispiece.

Condition

In the original quarter cloth binding with paper to the boards. Externally, generally smart, with light discolouration and a little rubbing. Minor bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. Chips and discolouration to the spine label. A couple of light marks to the boards. Hinges are starting a little but remain firm. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are lightly age-toned and generally clean with some spots. Front endpaper and frontispiece detached but present. Small closed tear to the frontispiece.
