Including a comprehensive view of English grammar, and the addition of many new words since Johnson first published his formidable work in 1755. Also with a complete list of cities, towns, and villages in both England and Wales.
Condition
In a full calf binding. Externally, rubbed. A small amount of loss to the tail of the spine, and a smaller amount of loss to the head. Minor bumping to the extremities. Light surface cracks to the spine. Hinges are starting but firm. Ink inscription to the rear paste down. Lacking the endpapers. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are age-toned with some spots. Small tide mark to the gutter of the frontispiece and title page.
