A very scarce copy of the speech of the Rt. Hon. William Windham, delivered in the House of Commons on 26th May 1809, discussing John Christian Curwen's parliamentary reform bill. This bill aimed to better secure 'the independence and purity of Parliament, by preventing the procuring or obtaining of seats by corrupt practices’.
This publication was reprinted from a copy prepared by a collation of reports from different newspapers.
Condition
Disbound but internally firmly bound and intact. Externally generally smart, with faint tidemarks to the first page and last page. Remnants of the backstrip to the spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.
