What Our Customers Say...

Description

Leather Binding, Uncommon

Atala, our Les Amours de deux Sauvages dans le Desert (The Love and Constancy of Two Savages in the Desert) was inspired by Chateaubriand's travels in North America and had an immense impact on early Romanticism. It was adapted frequently for stage and translated into many languages. The second work included in this volume, Rene, was also very popular upon publication and follows the story of a young man who finds himself at odds with contemporary society.
