First published in 1750 as The Oeconomy of Human Life . With twenty two woodcuts by Austin and Hole, from designs by Craig. The Economy of Human Life, by English bookseller, poet and writer is a collection of moral precepts, most of which are attributed to authors from India and China. The work is set out in a similar stylistic format to the King James Bible.
Condition
In a paper vellum binding, with morocco and gilt detail to the spine. Externally very smart with slight rubbing to the spine. Slight bumping to the extremities. The odd light mark to the board. Internally firmly bound. Pages bright and clean with the occasional spot and handling mark. Contemporary ink inscription to front free endpaper. Evidence of label removal to front blank.
