    Illustrated with a folding engraved frontispiece, and eleven further engraved plates. Collated, complete.

    First published in 1800, this second edition includes a 'list of the cathedrals of England, with their dimensions'.

    With two leaves of publisher's advertisements to the rear.

    A beautifully illustrated insight into early nineteenth century views of Gothic architecture.

    Condition

    Rebacked, with original tree calf boards restored. Retaining the original endpapers. Externally, lovely. Hinges lightly strained, but holding firm. Internally, firmly bound. Spotting and areas of discolouration throughout, most concentrated to plate perimeters.
