What Our Customers Say...
Description
This voyage was sponsored by the Missionary Society of London, and this account was compiled by William Wilson from his own journals and from those of Captain James Wilson and other missionaries on the voyage.
This vessel, 'Duff', was the very first to sail the Pacific Ocean. It reached Tahiti after 208 days where seventeen missionaries remained, before the boat carried on to Tonga, the Marquesas, the Fiji and Caroline Groups, to Canton.
