The very scarce second edition 'corrected, improved, and very much enlarged', of George Heath's late eighteenth century study of Bristol.
Illustrated with an engraved folding frontispiece, Heath discusses Bristol, Clifton and Hotwells, along with providing
an account of the cities of Bath and Wells, and supplying brief biographies of eminent inhabitants of Bristol.
The first edition, also very scarce, was published in 1794.
With a publisher's advertisement to the rear.

Condition
Rebound in half calf, with marbled paper covered boards and endpapers renewed. Externally, very smart, with only some light rubbing to back strip and board perimeters. Internally, firmly bound. Fold or frontispiece reinforced to reverse. Pages a touch age toned, otherwise clean and bright.
