What Our Customers Say...

Description

This is from a series of four letters by Burke, written in opposition to Prime Minister William Pitt as he sought peace with the French Directorate. Burke's opinion on the matter was highly regarded, as his prior 'Reflections on the Revolution in France' had already made many correct predictions on the matter.

Written by Edmund Burke (1729-1797), an Anglo-Irish statesman, philosopher and economist who served as M.P. across some three decades towards the end of the eighteenth century. He published countless important tracts and pamphlets during his political career, covering the French Revolution, the Popery Laws, and reform.

The sixth edition of two of these important letters, imploring William Pitt to take a different course of action.
