The first edition of this uncommon work.

An extensive and detailed exploration of Evesham.

This work looks in detail at the history and topography of the Worcestershire market town Evesham, which was founded around the eighth century abbey, which was destroyed during the Dissolution of the Monasteries. 

Illustrated with one folding plate, and five plates.

Written by William Tindal.

Collated, bound without gatherings A, B, and C, including the title page and frontispiece. Leaf 3A1 is misbound in the subscriber's list. 

Five pages of subscriber's names bound to the rear.

Condition

Rebound in a cloth binding. Externally, a little rubbed. Minor bumping to the extremities. Cloth is lifting a little to the joints, and extremities. A few light marks to the boards. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are lightly age-toned and clean with a few scattered spots. Leaf D1 is working loose. Bound without gatherings A, B, and C, including the title page and frontispiece.
