A pamphlet by William Frend, being Peace and Union recommended to the Associated Bodies of Republicans and Anti-Republicans.
William Frend was an English clergyman, social reformer and writer, who, after a high profile university trail in Cambridge, became a leading figure in London radical circles.
This work denounced abuses and condemned much of the liturgy of the Church of England and it was resolved that Frend should be prosecuted for publishing this pamphlet.
Condition
Re-bound in hardback binding. Externally, excellent. Internally, firmly bound with aged toned pages to the first few pages and some light scattered spots throughout.
