John Trusler wrote on a wide range of subjects, and founded his Literary Society as an alternative to the Royal Society. This work is a cosmography for youth on human anatomy, music, builders, cabinet makers, crime, law and war.
Each section has illustrations to the head by the noted engraver Thomas Bewick. Bewick is particularly known for his work 'A History of Quadrupeds'.
Condition
In a speckled calf binding. Externally, smart. Cracks to the joints, with the hinges remaining firm. Loss to the head and tail of spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.
