Undated, dated using ESTC.  The ESTC cites 1790 as being the earliest date for this work.

Collated, complete with a frontispiece and eleven plates on carving and courses.

With extensive recipes on soups, broths and many more core meals in nineteenth century society.

An uncommon work, which provides an insightful guide to nineteenth century housekeeping. There are chapters on table setting, managing the kitchen, fruit garden, preserving, pickling and much more. A truly comprehensive guide.

 

Condition

In a contemporary calf binding. Externally, sound. Small loss to the leather at the front board. Hinges are slightly strained but firm. Front endpaper and frontispiece are detached but present. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright. Frontispiece and folding plates have a few minor chips to the extremities. Plates have several marks and spots. Otherwise, just the odd spot.
