What Our Customers Say...

Description

Original Binding, Scarce

A scarce work. The pocket-sized thirteenth edition of this work, with considerable additions. 'Chronology' in a concise encyclopedia of history, referencing important events, places, and people throughout history. Written by John Trusler, a priest who also had a great passion for education, eventually feeling that his priesthood wasn't enough, seeking out more degrees he could study. He came up with the idea of printing one-hundred and fifty sermons in script type, in the style of handwriting, whereupon he then set up a successful printing and book selling business.

Condition

In the original paper wraps, with marbled paper to the boards, and a gold paper to the spine. Externally, smart. Minor shelfwear to the wraps. Light bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. Tail of the spine is lifting very lightly to the rear joint, but remains secure. Prior owner's pencil and ink inscriptions to the pastedowns. Front hinge is starting close to the textblock but remains firm. Internally, generally firmly bound, though lightly strained in places. Pages are bright and clean with just the very odd spot.
