Rebound in cloth bindings with leather spine labels. Externally, smart with some rubbing. Marks to boards including score mark to volume I measuring 4 inches. Some loss to spine labels and wear to head and tail of spine. Hinges starting to volume II. Institutional stamps to endpapers and pastedowns of both volumes. Internally, generally firmly bound. Pages bright with scattered spotting throughout. Ink inscriptions to the verso of the half titles.
