This is the instalment on the Midlands. Volume I includes information on the cultivation of crops; management of woodlands and estates; hiring staff; animal husbandry; implements and buildings; and selling at markets. Volume II continues this study with minutes on agriculture and planting from 1784 to 1786 and an index. 5 page of publisher's advertisements to the rear of Volume II, before the index.
Condition
In publisher's original cloth binding. Externally very smart, though slightly faded to the spine and upper extremities of the boards. Front hinge to Vol II is splitting, with webbing showing, but remains firm. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are generally bright and clean; however, there is a little offsetting to the paste downs and endpapers, and a tidemark to the title page of Vol II. There are also some amateur repairs to losses to the first few pages of Vol II, not affecting the text. Folding map in excellent condition.
