Eighteenth century edition of the poetical works of distinguished man of letters Samuel Johnson, a new edition published only five years after his death. Featuring long and short verses, including poems 'London,' 'The Vanity of Human Wishes,' and 'The Natural Beauty' mong others.

Condition
In half calf binding over marbled boards, renewed endpapers, titles in gilt to morocco spine label. Externally very smart with minor shelf wear, rubbed to spine. Previous ownership pencil inscription to verso front free endpaper, undated. Internally, firmly bound. Pages generally bright and clean.
