What Our Customers Say...

Description

Early Edition, Leather Binding

'The Lounger' is a noted periodical for being one of the earliest tributes to Robert Burns' genius.

This periodical ran for nearly two years total. The third edition of this work.

Prior owner's inscription to the recto of front endpaper.

From the library of Allen and Beryl Freer. The Freers were avid art collectors, and acquired quite the selection over the twentieth century, of works mostly bought from the artists. Allen organised many exhibitions of artists he admired and published several works on art.

Uniformly bound in contemporary full calf bindings.

Condition

In full calf bindings. Externally, very smart. Light rubbing to the joints and extremities. Small loss to the head of front joints of volumes I and III. Internally, all volumes are firmly bound. Pages are slightly age toned to the edges. Otherwise, just the odd spot.
