In a full marbled calf binding. Externally, with some loss to the backstrip. Institutional label to the tail of the spine. A little loss to the spine label. Front joint is starting. Light bumping to the extremities. A few light marks to the boards and spine. Spine is a little discoloured. Front hinge is strained, rear hinge is starting but firm. Institutional label to the front paste down. Bound without the rear endpaper. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are lightly age-toned and generally clean with some spots. Blind stamp to the title page, and to a couple of plates and pages. Small repairs to the head of the title page. Prior owner's tape repair to the gutter after the title page. Stamp to the reverse of the title page, and a little remnants of a label. Prior owner's ink inscription to the head of page 1. Small repairs to a couple of pages of text. Tidemark to the plates.
