These works offer an insight into the global attitudes to the Dutch Republic during this period of upheaval and political unrest. They look into the principle causes of the revolution and the possible repercussions.
George Ellis' work in this volume is notable for having been translated into French by the future King Louis XVIII.

In a half calf binding with cloth to the boards. Externally, leather is rubbed. Some light marks to the boards and spine. Ink to the tail of the spine. Minor bumping to the extremities. Stamp to the front paste down. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are lightly age toned and clean. Stamps to the title pages.
