Many believe this work to be written by Pierre Jean Baptiste Nougaret. However, it is sometimes attributed to N E Restif de la Bretonne. Both names have been printed to the title page of this edition. It was originally printed in 1779.

Condition
In a quarter morocco binding, with paper covered boards. Externally, very smart with minor shelfwear to the head and tail of spine. Bookplate to the front pastedown. Prior owner's inscriptions to the verso of front endpaper and to the recto of front free endpaper. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright. A few small chips to the fore-edge of pages. Pages are otherwise bright and clean.
