The author, who was a Knight of Malta and governor of Poitiers, describes the life of Columbus in Portugal, and compares the ultimate fate of the navigator with several historical figures.
Condition
In a quarter morocco binding, with marbled paper covered boards. Joint tails starting, but firmly held. Library labels to back strip tail and front pastedown, with stamp to title page head. Internally, firmly bound. Pages lightly age toned, with light spotting throughout.
