Consisting of nine parts, this volume contains an array of British songs, containing an impressive number of 1286 songs.
'The Vocal Magazine' contains the lyrics of popular songs, catantas, ballads, and more, which were all the rage across British in the eighteenth century.
Including songs by the likes of David Garrick, Dr Goldsmith, and Shakespeare, as well as popular songs from plays.
Condition
In a full calf binding. Externally, generally smart. Light rubbing to the boards and spine. Minor bumping to the extremities. A little loss to the head and tail of spine, with small chips and cracks to the joints, cracks heavier to the front joint. Some minor marks to the boards. Front hinge is a little strained but firm. Lacking the front endpaper. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are lightly age-toned and clean with only the occasional spot. Frontispiece is lifting to the tail.
