Illustrated with five copper-engraved plates, depicting agricultural machinery and mechanisms. Collated, complete.
Constructed to 'assist the husbandman in the choice and construction of every implement peculiar to his business', author Cuthbert Clarke's work discusses subjects ranging from book-keeping, 'the affinity between plants and animals', pruning, planting, and breeds of sheep.
The second section of the work discusses machinery and mechanics, discussing wheels, axes, and 'the pressure and impulse of fluids'.

Condition
In a full calf binding. Significant rubbing to joints and board perimeters. Front board tenderly held by one cord only. Rear hinge a touch strained, but firmly held. Internally, firmly bound. Pages age toned due to paper type, with scattered instances of light spotting and handling marks. With closed tears to all five folding plates, neatly restored to the reverse.
