Homer's Iliad is an ancient Greek epic poem, split into twenty-four books. It is set during the Trojan War and follows the events subsequent to Achilles' and Agamemnon's quarrel. The work is thought to have been written down in the eighth century BC.
Homer's Odyssey is a Greek epic poem detailing the tale of war hero Odysseus as he struggles to return home to Ithaca after the Trojan War. It features all manner of mythological figures and episodes, including the most famous book IX, which contains his encounter with the Cyclops.
Both remain amongst the most important pieces of ancient European literature.

Condition
In a half calf binding, with a recent spine. Externally rather worn: the spine has just a little rubbing to the head and tail, however, the boards are worn and faded, and the leather corners are mostly lost from rubbing and bumping. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.
