Illustrated with a frontispiece titled 'Plan of the Farm', and one further plate.
A very scarce late eighteenth century work by William Marshall, a prominent agriculture writer known to be an early proponent of the establishment of a state-sponsored body to promote farming standards and agriculture.
In 1774, Marshall rented a farm near Croydon, Surrey, to practice and experiment with farming and agriculture techniques, later publishing an account of his experiences.

Condition
Rebound in cloth, with endpapers renewed. Bump to back strip head, otherwise externally excellent. Stamps to recto of frontispiece, and verso of index leaf. Internally, firmly bound. Pages clean and bright.
