Early Edition, Leather Binding

An early edition, published sixteen years after the first.

This work brought an initial taste of celebrity and distinguished him as a man of letters in Paris.

In the original French, with the dedication in English.

Condition

In a contemporary calf binding. Externally, very smart, with light rubbing to the joints and extremities. Minor split to the tail of front joint. A few light marks to boards. Front hinge is strained but firm. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright, with just the odd spot.
