Volume I. Containing his Juvenile Poems and Translations. Including eight engraved plates.
Volume II. Containing his Imitations, Moral Essays, and Satires. Including eleven engraved plates.
Volume III. Containing 'The Dunciad'. Including five engraved plates.
Volume IV. Containing his Miscellaneous Pieces in Verse and Prose.
Volume V. Containing the First Part of Pope's Letters.
Volume VI. Containing the Second Part of Pope's Letters.
Collated and complete.

Each volume contains the bookplate of Sir John Laforey to the front pastedown. Sir John Laforey, 1st Baronet, was a British naval officer in the eighteenth century.
Condition
In contemporary full calf binding. Externally, sound, with some shelf wear to the boards and rubbing to the spines, joints, and extremities. Containing a bookplate of a previous owner to the front pastedown of all volumes of 'The Works'. Internally, binding is firm. Light spotting to the first and last few pages of each volume, and a touch of offsetting throughout, otherwise pages are bright and clean, especially considering the age of the works.
