This is an expanded version of the dictionary of the Accademia della Crusca, in which the author expands upon the Crusca's work with additional linguist equivalents and definitions.
Compiled by the Italian philologist Annibale Antonini.
Bookplate of E. H. Greenly to the front paste downs, with his ink inscription to the head of the title pages.
A new edition.
Volume I title page is in Italian, Volume II in French.
Printed in triple columns.
Condition
In a full marbled calf binding. Externally, worn. Chips to the spine labels, Volume II is lacking the second spine label. Loss to the head of the spine of Volume I, larger chip to the head of the spine to the front joint of Volume II. Minor bumping to the extremities. Smaller loss to the rear joint of Volume I. Front joints are starting but firm. Cracks to the head and tail of the rear joints. Light rubbing to the boards and spines, a little heavier to the front board of Volume I. Only a few small marks to the boards and spines. Bookplate to the front paste downs. Scattered spots to the endpapers. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are lightly age-toned with the occasional scattered spot. Ink inscription to the head of the title pages.
