Written by Guillaume Thomas Francois Raynal, was a French writer and man of letters during the Age of Enlightenment. This work was produced in collaboration with Diderot, Pechméja, Baron d'Holbach, Paulze, the farmer-general of taxes, the Abbé Martin, and Alexandre Deleyre.
Rebound in full calf with marbled endpapers and edges. Externally, sound with bumping and rubbing to the extremities. A small crack to the spine of volume two. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean with light spotting and age toning to the first and last few pages.
