What Our Customers Say...

Description

First Edition, Leather Binding, Uncommon

Buchan wrote this work with an intention to reach a wider audience and allow people to cure themselves. This was one of the first texts to emphasize the prevention of disease and Catherine the Great of Russia sent the author a gold medal and personal letter after reading the work.

Inscription to the recto of front endpaper, Thomas Baldwin Bagsham 1792.

ESTC reference no: T116615. Collated, complete.

A groundbreaking medical work, which is split into two main sections 'Preventing Diseases' and 'Of Diseases'.

An uncommon work, particularly in this first edition state.
