With the armorial bookplate of Edn. Parker to front pastedowns, and with the bookplate of lawyer and book collector David Stather to rear pastedowns.
Bibliographer and genealogist Samuel Egerton Brydges described Collins as 'a most industrious, faithful, and excellent genealogist' whose only failing was a habit of regarding rank and titles with 'too indiscriminate respect and flattery'.
Condition
In full calf bindings. Minor losses to back strip head and tails. Partial losses to spine labels of volumes II, IV, VI and VII. Joints starting, with boards firmly held. Vertical strip to tail of volume V back strip. Bookplates to front and rear pastedowns. Internally, firmly bound. Pages lightly age toned, but generally clean, with instances of spotting throughout each volume.
