Description

First published in Spain in 1613, 'Novelas Ejemplares' is a series of twelve novellas by 'Don Quixote' author Miguel de Cervantes.

A new edition, complete in two volumes.

In the French language.

Illustrated with engraved plates and bound in rebacked contemporary leather. Volume I contains five plates; Volume II contains seven plates. Each volume also has an illustrated title page. Volume I lacks the engraved frontispiece piece of the author, as well as one other plate besides.

Bound without half-titles.

Condition

In a full calf binding; rebacked with the original boards laid down. Externally generally smart; a little rubbed to the head of the spines, with bumping to the extremities and slight rubbing to the boards and joints.
