A useful work, containing information on various country practices, including honey production, the garden calendar, the cultivation of fruit and vegetables, hunting, beer and wine production, and much more. With the final one hundred pages presenting various cookery recipes, of jam, soups, pastries, home remedies, among others.

Written by M. de Chanavalon, Prêtre de l'Ordre de Malthe.

With two pages of publisher's advertisements to the rear.

Bookplate of "Huvier Offr au Corps Royal du Génie", being of an officer at the military school Royal du Genie, founded in 1748.

Condition

Bound in full calf. Endpapers renewed and blanks retained. Externally, generally smart, with rubbing to the extremities, joints and raised bands. Joints are a little cracked. Hinges are a touch strained, but holding firm. Bookplate to front paste down. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright, with just the odd handling mark.
