    Leather Binding

    Library plate to the front pastedown, Theological Institute of Connecticut. 

    This is the first English edition of this work, translated from the original Greman by C W F Walch, a professor of Divinity and Philosophy at Gottingen. Walch was the son of German Lutheran theologian Johann Georg Walch. 

    ESTC reference number T97959. 

    Library blind stamp to the title page, and first leaf of preface for the theological institute of connecticut library.

    Condition

    In a contemporary calf binding. Externally, sound. Splits to the joints. Patches of rubbing to the joints and extremities. Small loss to the head and tail of spine. Shelf label to the tail of spine. Bookplate to the front pastedown. Hinges are strained but firm. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are generally bright. Ink spots to the fore-edge. The odd spot to pages.
