'Sculptura-Historico-Technica' looks at the rise and progress of the art of engraving throughout history, the cyphers and marks by which engravers are distinguished, and of engraving on copper.
The plates are not signed by derive from Bosse's 'De la Maniere de Graver'.
Condition
In a quarter calf binding with marbled paper to the boards. Externally, smart. Light marks and rubbing to the boards. Minor bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. Extremities are lightly discoloured. A small amount of loss of paper to the tail of the front board. Stamp to the recto of the front endpaper. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are lightly age toned and clean.
